What SEO Machine GBP does
We produce marketing videos for our own channel. Publishing each one by hand — uploading the file, typing the title and description, attaching the subtitles, setting the thumbnail, then checking it landed on the right channel — is slow and easy to get wrong. SEO Machine GBP does those steps for us, in one command, against the channel we own.
It runs on our own machines as a command-line tool. There is no website to sign in to, no app to install, and nothing for a customer to use.
- Upload the finished video The video we produced is published to our own YouTube channel, with its title and description.
- Attach the captions The subtitle track generated alongside the video is added to it, so the video is accessible.
- Attach the thumbnail The thumbnail image generated alongside the video is set as the video’s thumbnail.
- Confirm the channel first Before anything is published the tool reads back which channel it is signed in to, so a video cannot be posted to the wrong one by mistake.
- Read the video back After the upload it re-reads the video to confirm what actually landed — the title, and whether it is private, unlisted or public.
- Save its own working files to our Google Drive Limited to files the tool itself creates, so a generated slide deck can be saved. It cannot see or open anything else in that Drive account.
